Volunteer

We are always looking for volunteers. Below are some of the currently identified roles that could help the organization as we continue to grow and develop.

Current Volunteer Needs:

Fundraising

• • We have no financial support from the district so all funds needed to run the team come from fundraising and player fees.  There are tons of ways to make money, we just need individuals to spear head efforts.

• Recruiting

  • At a school of 1600 kids, that means there are roughly 800 boys. We know that a lot of kids don't even know McQueen has a lacrosse team, let alone how to get involved. We want to grow McQueen Boys Lacrosse to have both robust JV and Varsity programs that thrive and draw in new kids year after year. 

• Assistant Coach

  • Do you have previous experience playing or coaching lacrosse at a competitive level? Know someone who does? This is an amazing group of kids who are a blast to work with and are willing to work hard. The more knowledgeable coaching we can provide, the better the kids and the organization will thrive into the future. If you, or someone you know, is interested, please let us know.

• Events Coordinator

  • There are lot of events that happen during the season on and off and field such as the end of year party, senior night, etc. If you are a pro at event planning we could use your assistance.

• Statistician

  • Sports is a all about data and numbers. If sports statistics is your thing, you just enjoy numbers, or you want one of the best seats in the stadium running the book, let us know.

• Social Media Manager/Photographer

  • We know kids (and adults!) are always on Social. Want to boast and post about McQueen. This job can get you down on the sidelines with a great view of the game.

• Webmaster

  • Making it all look pretty online takes time and dedication. Those with experience can do it a lot faster and more easily. If you have experience running websites let us know.

• Communications Manager 

  • It takes a lot to organize and communicate with 30+ kids, 60+ parents and coaches, and make sure everyone has the latest and correct information. If you can handle a 3 ring circus and get the word out, we have the job for you!

• Game Day Tasks

  • We need at least 3 parents at EVERY game running the clock and staffing the score table. Assignments will be posted in Team Snap after the game schedule is released.
