Volunteer

If you have specific skills are a willingness to learn, we are always looking for volunteers. Below are some of the currently identified roles that could help the organization as we continue to grow and develop.

Current Volunteer Open Positions:

• Fundraising

  • If you have experience fundraising we would really love to talk to you. Unfortunately, lacrosse is not the cheapest sport to get into or keep playing, and we would like to do as much as we can to help expose as many boys as possible to the sport.

• Recruiting

  • At a school of 1600 kids, that means there are roughly 800 boys. We know that a lot of kids don't even know McQueen has a lacrosse team, let alone how to go about getting involved. We want to grow McQueen Boys Lacrosse to have both a JV and Varsity program that thrive and draw in new kids year after year.  If this is your area of expertise, please reach out.

• Assistant Coach

  • Do you have previous experience playing or coaching lacrosse at a competitive level? Know someone who does? This is an amazing group of kids who are a blast to work with and are willing to work hard. The more knowledgeable coaching we can provide, the better the kids and the organization will thrive into the future. If you, or someone you know, is interested, please let us know.

• Parents Committee

  • There are lot of events that happen during the season on and off and field such as the end of year party, senior night, etc . If you are a pro at planning events we could really use your assistance.

• Statistician

  • Sports is a all about data and numbers. If sports statistics is your thing, you just enjoy numbers, or you want one of the best seats in the stadium running the book, let us know.

• Social Media Manager/Photographer

  • We know kids (and adults, too) are always on Social, if you like taking pictures and posting them up, this also can get you down on the sidelines with a great view of the game.

• Webmaster

  • Making it all look pretty online takes time and dedication. Those with experience can do it a lot faster and more easily. If you have experience running websites let us know.

• Communications Manager 

  • It takes a lot to organize and communicate with 30+ kids, 60+ parents and coaches, and make sure everyone has the latest and correct information. If you can handle a 3 ring circus like this, you might become a whole lot of peoples' new best friend.
